PROJECT MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS) Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Exco Extrusion Dies, Markham, Ontario Industry: Extrusion Die and Mold Machining EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years of experience in the metal machining industry, with a primary focus on: * Continuous improvement projects * Machine shop process and method improvement JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Manage and support manufacturing improvement projects from planning through implementation * Develop and maintain machine shop documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation * Prepare and maintain CAM-related documentation with support from the CAM team * Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the machine shop * Support machine shop automation initiatives to improve productivity, quality, consistency, and efficiency * Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, CAM, Engineering, and other departments to improve shop processes and resolve operational issues SKILLS AND QUALITIES Strong fundamentals in mathematics, physics, and mechanical engineering are essential. Being proactive and having a creative mindset can take you to the next level. You also need to be detail-oriented, decisive, collaborative, and willing to mentor and support others. EDUCATION Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. COMPENSATION * Competitive starting salary: $60,000–$90,000 * Comprehensive benefits package * Profit-sharing program
