Our client, a leading enterprise technology organization, is seeking an AZURE AI ENGINEER / GENERATIVE AI DEVELOPER to join their team. As an AZURE AI ENGINEER / GENERATIVE AI DEVELOPER, you will be part of a small, agile consulting group supporting a high-profile Canada Life initiative. The ideal candidate will have a builder mindset, strong client-facing communication, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions under compressed timelines. Job Title: AZURE AI ENGINEER / GENERATIVE AI DEVELOPER Location: Remote within Canada (Fully Remote) Duration: 4 Months + Extension What's the Job? Design and develop enterprise AI applications using Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Search Build and deploy Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for real business use cases Develop AI agents and agentic workflows to support business automation Integrate applications with LLM and Generative AI APIs, including prompt engineering and structured outputs Implement LLM evaluation and testing frameworks, and expose AI capabilities through secure, scalable APIs What's Needed? 5-10 years of software development and consulting experience Strong hands-on Python development expertise and experience consuming REST APIs and SDK-based APIs Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry and building enterprise RAG solutions Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and exposing AI capabilities through FastAPI Ability to work directly with clients and business stakeholders, with excellent communication and consulting skills What's in it for me? What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires 5–10 years of software development and consulting experience, strong Python skills, and experience with REST and SDK-based APIs. Candidates need hands-on Azure AI Foundry and enterprise RAG experience, Docker and FastAPI deployment skills, and strong client-facing communication abilities.
