The Position Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, the Field Support Technician is responsible for supporting IT operations across regional customer sites. The Field Support Technician must troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software to ensure systems are operating efficiently and meet established standards. Field Support Technicians serve as the primary point of contact for IT support and represent the face of A&R Solutions to customers. This position will provide support to our clients in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. This is an entry-level position, and we encourage new college and university graduates to apply! Responsibilities Provide technical support and assistance to end users. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. Install and configure new hardware, including PCs, laptops, and printers. Maintain the functionality of RMM and antivirus software. Conduct regular system maintenance, security updates, and patching. Onboard and offboard end users as required. Escalate out-of-scope issues to the appropriate department or management in a timely manner. Work with the networking team to support firewalls, switches, internet connectivity, and wireless devices. Work with the infrastructure team to support servers, SaaS applications, and security frameworks. Document all work performed through the internal ticketing system and ensure site documentation is accurate and up to date. Participate in ongoing training on new technologies. Qualifications 1–2 years of relevant experience. Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware and software. Proficiency with Windows operating systems. Ability to configure and support Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to support both domain and workgroup environments. Working knowledge of computer networking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Experience working for an MSP (Managed Service Provider) is preferred. Valid driver's licence, insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
