The Buyer Team Leader role is responsible for managing and executing transactional purchasing processes for products and / or services across the business. This role will provide purchasing process and task guidance across the internal operational Buying team, as well as to our internal stakeholders, ensuring tasks are managed and completed in an efficient, effective and process compliant manner. This role will be accountable for managing and improving team performance as it relates to completion of purchasing tasks for internal stakeholders. This role will lead and/or support process improvement projects with focuses that span cost, timeline, and delivery improvement goals with a focus on improved, measurable results. Key Accountabilities: Drive for delivery excellence and for taking the appropriate actions to resolve issues. Be able to represent the team to the wider organization and align the team to company values. Act as part of the local leadership team to improve processes, efficiencies and increase customer value and satisfaction. Work collaboratively, as part of a highly efficient service delivery team to ensure that all sourcing meets the needs of current and future. You will maximize transactional efficiency and quality by the appropriate use of Procurement systems and e-commerce tools. Ensure all purchasing records and documentations are correct and maintained in line with regulatory requirements. Where designated, you will support functional audit activities and will be responsible for identifying and recommending process improvements relating to the operation of transactional tasks. Plan activities that are aligned to existing and expanded customer service offerings and requirements, managing and providing visibility of progress against project plans. Support embedding and assist in sustaining a high-performance culture within the team. Facilitate sharing of best practice across the teams. Support identifying, recommending, and implementing workflow and process efficiency improvements. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Project Management, Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration with 5+ years’ experience. Must be Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada for greater than 5 years Able to obtain NATO security clearance (Secret Level) through Canadian Contract Security Program. Experience in Supply Chain planning . Experience as a Sr. level buyer and/or leading a team of buyers. Managed complex supplier interfaces in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience, including senior-level buying or team leadership in a manufacturing environment. Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for over 5 years and be eligible for NATO Secret security clearance.
