Role Summary: Canada Drayage Inc. is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support daily dispatch and billing activities. This person will work closely with the Dispatcher to plan and monitor loads, create outbound loads in Trinium, and assist the Billing Coordinator with accurate, timely invoicing. The role includes training in both dispatch and billing so the operations coordinator can provide coverage during vacations and other absences. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm Work Arrangement: On-site Position Type: Non-Union Employment Status: Permanent Compensation: Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hr Work Location & Environment: 133 John Savage Ave, Dartmouth NS, B3B 0A8 Office environment Key Accountabilities: In this role, you will: Assist the Dispatcher with daily load planning, driver assignments, scheduling, and follow-up with drivers and clients Create and update outbound loads in Trinium, ensuring order details, appointments, equipment, and customer instructions are accurate. Monitor dispatched loads and communicate any changes, delays, or service concerns to the appropriate team members. Keep Trinium orders and trip information current, including operational notes needed for billing. Assist with billing by reviewing completed orders, supporting documents, rates, and applicable additional charges before invoices are processed. Follow up on missing information, including delivery documents and trip details, to help prevent billing delays. Learn dispatch and billing procedures thoroughly and provide coverage for either function during vacations or absences. Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and internal teams as needed. Help identify and resolve order or billing discrepancies. Qualifications We’re looking for someone who brings: Education & Experience: Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or billing is an asset. Working knowledge of the North American transportation industry Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities in a busy operation. Comfortable learning transportation software; experience with Trinium is an asset. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Reliable, organized, and willing to learn both operational and administrative duties.
