FCL LLP is civil litigation firm based in downtown Toronto. Join the team our team! Role Description: We are seeking a full time Law Clerk/Legal Assistant. This role supports our lawyers in all stages of litigation matters. Your day to day responsibilities will include all legal administrative tasks and standard law clerk duties such as preparing productions and ensuring that all materials comply with firm standards and court rules. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and a commitment to collaborative work within a fast-paced practice. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, including understanding of litigation procedures, insurance defence, and related practice areas. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, organizing, and managing court and client documents. Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with lawyers, clients, and industry partners. High-level Writing skills, including preparing accurate summaries, correspondence, and concise reports. Diploma or degree in law clerk, paralegal studies, legal administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a professional services environment. Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office, PDF tools). Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and maintain discretion with confidential information. Previous experience in insurance defence or civil litigation in a law firm setting is an asset.
