The Director of Claims is responsible for leading and developing the claims department while establishing strategic and operational objectives. They provide expert advice to municipalities and management, oversee complex claims, and manage relationships with reinsurers and external partners. Candidates must have 8 to 10 years of experience in claims management, including 5 years in complex claims settlement. A FPAA designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada and a 5a permit from the AMF are required.
