Job details

Job Description Forward Deployed Engineer We’re a naan traditional company… Summary As a Forward Deployed Engineer on the Cerebro team, you will be embedded with manufacturing customers and internal production teams to make Cerebro actually work in real plant environments. This is a highly practical, hands-on role at the intersection of AI technology, manufacturing operations, and customer outcomes. You will spend significant time on-site (and remotely) understanding production lines, diagnosing real operational problems, rapidly adapting and deploying Cerebro solutions, integrating with existing systems, driving adoption, and feeding field insights back into the core product. Success is measured by reliable production deployments, measurable line improvements, and high customer adoption. We are looking for sharp, analytical engineers who can learn quickly. If you have a strong engineering foundation (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial/Management, or similar), enjoy solving real-world problems with people, and are excited to pick up modern AI tools while immersing yourself in manufacturing, this role is built for you. What FGF Offers: FGF believes in Home Grown Talent, accelerated career growth with leadership training. Unleashing Your Potential Competitive Compensation, Health Benefits, & a generous flexible medical / Health spending account RRSP matching program Tuition reimbursement Discount program that covers almost everything under the sun - Restaurants, gyms, shopping etc. Primary Responsibilities: Embed with customer manufacturing sites and internal production teams to deeply understand workflows, constraints, data sources, and high-value use cases for Cerebro. Conduct site visits and technical assessments; rapidly translate observations into working solutions, prototypes, and production deployments. Design, customize, integrate, and deploy Cerebro applications and features into live manufacturing environments—handling data connections, system integrations, reliability, and edge cases. Collaborate with manufacturing leads and cross-functional stakeholders using practical problem-solving approaches (including Lean/Six Sigma thinking) to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements. Own the reliability and stability of Cerebro solutions post-deployment; troubleshoot in production, iterate quickly, and ensure solutions remain robust under real plant conditions. Drive adoption through hands-on training, enablement, and close partnership with operators and supervisors—aiming for high utilization rather than checkbox go-lives. Capture field feedback, edge cases, and product gaps; communicate them clearly to Data Science, Analytics, and product/engineering teams to continuously improve Cerebro. Contribute to streamlining deployment processes, automating training/support elements, and building reusable patterns that improve scalability across facilities. Prepare clear technical and business artifacts (assessment summaries, scopes, milestone plans) that keep customers and internal teams aligned on realistic outcomes Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in an engineering, technical, or operational role (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial/Management, Manufacturing, Process, or related engineering backgrounds are highly valued). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—ability to break down complex, real-world issues, gather data, and drive practical solutions. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with people at all levels, from operators to plant leadership. High ownership mentality and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. Willingness and ability to travel for site visits and hands-on deployments. Nice-to-Have: Exposure to manufacturing, industrial operations, food production, or continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) environments. Any hands-on experience with data, systems integration, automation, sensors, computer vision, or applied AI tools. Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. Curiosity about AI and a track record of quickly picking up new technical skills. What is the recipe for a great career at FGF?Working at FGF Brands, there is never a dull moment!
