Job details
Senior Full Stack Developer Company: Bloomic | FH Health Location: Remote. Open to international candidates. About Bloomic Bloomic, part of FH Health, builds software for healthcare. Our products include an electronic medical record (EMR) platform and mobile apps used every day by clinic staff and patients at Pollin Fertility, a fertility clinic with locations in Toronto and Ottawa. We build with AI at the core. Our developers use Claude Code and OpenAI Codex every day. We work prototype-first: product owners build a working prototype, engineers agree on the technical approach, then we build, test and release. We want developers who already work this way. The role You will build features across our EMR platform, from database to user interface. Much of the next year's work is rebuilding existing EMR features on a new, domain-driven architecture, so you will help shape how the platform is structured, not only add to it. You will work directly with product owners, designers and our engineering lead. You will take prototypes and turn them into secure, tested, production code. What you will do Build and maintain features across the frontend and backend of our EMR platform. Turn working prototypes into production code, and agree on the technical approach with product owners and senior engineers before building. Rebuild existing EMR features on our new architecture, and plan data migrations with care. Design APIs, data models and database changes. Use Claude Code and Codex to plan, write, test and review code, and check AI output before it ships. Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests. Review other developers' code and help set engineering standards. Build integrations with external healthcare systems and third-party services. Handle patient data securely, following Ontario health privacy law (PHIPA) and our security practices. Raise risks, blockers and security issues early. What you need 6+ years of professional software development, with at least 3 years working across frontend and backend on production systems. Strong TypeScript and React. Experience with Next.js. Experience with Redux Toolkit / RTK Query, MUI (Material UI), and React Hook Form with Yup, or similar tools you can pick up quickly. Strong backend experience: building REST APIs, designing data models and writing efficient queries for relational databases. Our backend uses NodeJS, NestJS, PostgresSQL. Experience designing or restructuring a large codebase (for example, splitting it by business domain, or moving a legacy system to a new architecture). At least 6 months of daily, hands-on use of Claude Code and OpenAI Codex on real work. You can explain how you prompt, review and test AI-generated code. Experience with authentication and access control (OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, role-based permissions). Git, pull requests, CI/CD and automated testing. Professional working English, written and spoken (B2 or higher). Most of our communication is written. Experience working remotely and independently with a team in another time zone. Nice to have Healthcare software experience, especially EMR systems. Healthcare data standards such as HL7 or FHIR. Experience with regulated data or compliance work (health, finance, government). Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure). Jira and Xray, or other test management tools. French proficiency What we offer Work on products that clinic teams and patients use every day. A real say in our platform's architecture during a rebuild. A team that treats AI tools as core to how we build. We provide Claude and Codex access. Direct work with product and engineering leads, with fast decisions. Working arrangement Full-time engagement. Availability for at least 6 hours of daily overlap with the Toronto team, generally between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET. Reliable internet, plus a backup plan for power and connection. Able to invoice as a registered sole proprietor or company in your country Sign a confidentiality agreement and complete our security and privacy training before starting. Equal opportunity Bloomic welcomes applications from qualified people of all backgrounds. We thank all applicants for their interest. We will contact only those selected for an interview.
