If you’re a Journeyperson Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Journeyperson Electrician with hands-on power generation experience, Finning can support you on your journey to get your Dual Ticket. What's in it for you? • Wage: $42.62 - $51.57 - Additional Premiums available per hour: $3.25 (continuous shift), $5.00 (field), $3.25 (dual ticket) • Bonus Target: 4% • Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time • 5.75% Employer paid pension, plus up to 1% additional • 6% voluntary Employee Share Purchase, earns 2% Finning match • 100% Employer paid medical benefits • CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning Job Description: Service, troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical and power generation equipment Perform maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments Load test power generation equipment Service, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild mechanical equipment (including general maintenance to full rebuilds of CAT engines) Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment Qualifications: Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred) Heavy Duty Mechanic with power generation experience would be an asset Power Systems experience, must be capable and confident troubleshooting mechanically governed fuel delivery systems Valid Class 5 Drivers license Generator experience would be an asset Important Notes: A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices may be considered Equivalent Tickets with power experience will be considered At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
