Role Description This full-time remote Appliance Technician role involves providing professional repair services for a wide range of household appliances booked through the Fix Enroute platform. Day-to-day work includes diagnosing appliance issues, performing repairs and part replacements, and documenting completed jobs clearly in the system. The technician will communicate with customers to explain findings, provide repair estimates, and offer guidance on proper appliance use and maintenance. The role also requires timely responses to job requests, adherence to safety standards, and maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism in every interaction. Qualifications Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing common household appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers). Ability to use repair tools, testing equipment, and digital platforms or apps to manage work orders and schedules. Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with customers and documenting repairs. Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions. Commitment to safety practices, cleanliness, and respect for customers’ homes. Prior experience as an appliance technician, handyman, or in a related technical field is strongly preferred. Relevant certifications or vocational training in appliance repair or electrical/mechanical fields are an asset. Reliable internet access, a valid driver’s license, and access to appropriate tools and transportation for on-site service.
