Co-op Student (Construction)

Job summary

The co-op student will assist with preliminary estimates, design calculations, and the preparation of technical documents for municipal infrastructure projects. They will also support project managers and maintain client relationships by explaining technical concepts and study results.

Overview We are looking for a co-op student available for 4, 8 and 12 months starting January 2026. What you will be doing Participate in preliminary estimates and details with the use of the guidelines for the projects relating to the field of Municipal Infrastructure Take part in design calculations and plans to ensure matching to the guidelines, the code requirements and other regulations Assist in maintaining relationships with clients in order to define their needs; explain technical information, concepts or study results Produce statements of quantities and prepare the budget assessments Verify and complete requests for proposals (RFPs), estimates and other technical documents Draft or proofread parts of the proposal, prepare documents for submittal Assist the project manager when help is needed. Requirements

Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office are required, with experience in AutoCAD or Civil3D considered an asset.
