Industry: Commercial Food Service Location: 1-430, Industrial Dr., Milton (Head Office) Reports To: To be decided Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried Position Summary: The Commercial and Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing product costing and pricing for equipment, accessories, and parts, ensuring data accuracy within the ERP system, and supporting margin optimization initiatives. The role also administers the Auto Quotes system, provides frontline IT coordination, and assists in ERP implementation. This position plays a critical role in protecting profitability, maintaining pricing integrity, and supporting operational efficiency. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Costing & Pricing Management Ø Manage and maintain accurate costing for equipment, accessories, and parts Ø Upload and maintain costing data in the ERP system Ø Perform regular data cleansing and validation Ø Conduct competitor pricing research and market comparisons Ø Determine selling prices in consultation with management (standard, chain accounts, and special pricing) Ø Publish and maintain dealer price lists Ø Generate tariff-rated costing and pricing reports 2. Margin Analysis Ø Conduct product comparisons and identify pricing discrepancies Ø Analyze bill backs and deviated pricing for special accounts Ø Identify low-margin products and areas for improvement Ø Present findings to management with actionable recommendations Ø Implement approved pricing or margin corrections 3. ERP & Systems Support Ø Assist in new ERP system roll-out and implementation Ø Support integration of costing and pricing structures into ERP Ø Maintain data accuracy across systems 4. Auto Quotes (AQ) Administration Ø Serve as system administrator for Auto Quotes Ø Create and deactivate user accounts Ø Respond to AQ-related inquiries Ø Ensure pricing and product descriptions are accurate 5. IT Coordination & Support Ø Coordinate IT-related matters with MCC Ø Liaise with support needs for staff Ø Provide basic hardware and software troubleshooting Ø Escalate complex technical issues when specialized support is required 6. Process Improvement Ø Review and improve costing, pricing, and system-related processes Ø Develop and document workflows where necessary Ø Perform other duties as assigned Position Requirements: Ø Has excellent skills with MS Excel, Power BI, and other analytical/statistical platforms that are needed to analyze and communicate business results and opportunities. Ø Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities Ø Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ø Solid understanding of the industry in which they work and be knowledgeable about current trends, regulations, and best practices. Ø Ability to manage timelines, resources, and budgets, and to prioritize tasks effectively. Ø The ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements is important for a commercial and pricing analyst, as the scope and nature of their work may change frequently. Ø Is committed to professional and client service excellence. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Ø Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, or information technology or a related field Ø 2 - 4 years of industry experience in business analysis, data analysis or finance. Ø Experience in costing, pricing, or financial analysis Ø Experience working with ERP systems Ø Exposure to IT coordination or systems support is an asset
