What You Will Do: The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating FGI product delivery while maintaining strong relationships with drivers and coordinate them to successfully service FGI customers. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks: * Coordinate and dispatch drivers running multiple routes daily * Plan and adjust runs in real-time to maintain delivery commitments (3-hour window from order to delivery) * Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, warehouse staff, and management * Monitor vehicle locations via fleet tracking software (Geotab) and proactively address delays or route issues. * Track and follow up on high-priority and time-sensitive deliveries * Ensure all deliveries are logged, documented, and invoiced correctly * Provide customer assistance with pickups to delivery bays * Work closely with the warehouse team to confirm order readiness and help manage volume overflow * Enforce driver expectations, route cut-off times, and time-on-site limits * Report exceptions, missed deliveries, or chronic issues with clear notes and suggestions * Continuously improve route planning and dispatch processes to reduce delays and maximize delivery success * Other duties as assigned What We Require: * 2+ years of proven dispatch experience, dispatching local deliveries within a parts distribution or warehouse environment. combined with strong knowledge of Mississauga and surrounding areas — you know the traffic patterns, not just the roads * Experience with real-time ("on-the-fly") dispatching and route optimization to meet customer demands is required * Experience using dispatching, routing, and ERP software systems is preferred * Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position: Daily lifting of 50 pounds or more, occasionally lifting to 100 pounds with assistance; constant standing, walking, pushing and pulling of pallet jacks or shopping carts; reaching and working at varying heights; and climbing stairs and/or ladders. * Must have open availability * Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment * Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with drivers, sales teams, warehouse staff, management, and customers via phone and email * Ability to proactively resolve delivery issues and ensure a high level of customer service * Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence What We Offer: * Competitive Wages -PLUS Yearly bonus! * The role starts at $60,000 per year, depending on experience * Great Benefits -Health, Dental, Vision, and much, much more * RRSP Matching * Health Spending Account * Paid sick days and Short-Term Disability Benefits * Discount on gym membership * Retirement Perks * And an overall great place to be!
