General Description: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining large machinery. This includes equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes. The role involves performing site preparation, excavation, grading, lifting, and material handling while ensuring safety regulations and operational standards are strictly followed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment. Certified Heavy Equipment papers Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses. Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines Capacity to provide and follow direction Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure Responsibilities: Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment. Observing stipulated safety codes at all times Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed Reporting injuries and other accidents to the manager Advising the manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift

The operator is responsible for maneuvering large machinery like excavators and bulldozers for site preparation and material handling. They must also maintain equipment and ensure all safety codes are strictly followed.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, certified heavy equipment papers, and prior experience operating various machinery. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and strong decision-making skills under pressure are required.
