The Licensed Practical Nurse performs patient assessments, plans and implements nursing care, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety. They are responsible for documenting care, operating medical equipment, and participating in quality improvement activities. Candidates must be a graduate of a recognized practical nursing program and hold current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The role requires the ability to work at full scope of practice and maintain physical ability to carry out nursing duties.
