Job summary
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Evenign Service Writer is a confident, energetic, CUSTOMER FOCUSED member of the Service department. Greet and WELCOME customers. Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including the details of the vehicle concerns, to assist with proper diagnosis. Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer. Confirm Warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims. Work with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear communication with the customer and ensure that their concerns are addressed quickly. Maintain this communication with the customers throughout the repair process, including, the customer’s approval of the repair, an estimate of the cost and an expected time of completion. Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders Identify possible upcoming Preventative Maintenance services with customers and schedule for them. Maintain an organized work space and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Other administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman. Required Experience / Skill Set Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Windows based programs and MS Excel & Word. Experience with KARMAK is an Asset Minimum of 3 years Automotive / Truck dealership experience. Candidates must have at least 3 years of automotive or truck dealership experience and strong computer skills in MS Office. Proficiency with KARMAK software is considered an asset.
