This role focuses on ensuring guest rooms are secured in a timely manner, and linens are processed quickly and efficiently. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Secure and strip rooms of linens and refuse * Ensure the Room Damage Assessment procedure is completed for each room. Pictures and description of damage is reported to the office. * Cleans and provides daily stocking of all housekeeping storage areas * Laundry management can include, but is not limited to: Pick-up Service, Laundry Sorting, Offloading Clean Linen, Washing as Needed, and Packing Orders * Ensures the well-being of our guests and Hosts by being alert to and reporting potential hazards * Models all Deerhurst Resort Standards while caring for guests, co-workers and owners * Responds to direct guest requests in an empathetic and timely manner * Ensures communication of maintenance issues in a timely manner * Completes all other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * Guest oriented with a sincere, helpful, caring and friendly personality * Able to take initiative within given guidelines * Pays precise attention to detail, order and cleanliness * Time and priority management * Works well under pressure * Maintains flexibility and professionalism at all times PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF POSITION (include but are not limited to): * Able to move up and down stairs frequently * Physically fit and able to bend, push, pull and lift continuously throughout the day * Able to occasionally work outdoors in seasonal temperatures * Able to lift, bend, carry and move constantly 11 to 40 pounds The Perks for All Team Members * Gain experience in a fun environment * Free resort pass access: complimentary access to all on site activities and amenities, pool, gym and more! * Hotel, retail and restaurant discounts * Meet new people and work within a great team Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Canada The above job description is not intended to be exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills or efforts associated with or expected of the role, but are intended to accurately reflect principal job elements.
