Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites experienced butchers to apply for the Meat Program Supervisor position. Based out of the Freson Bros. Operations Office in Stony Plain, this position provides leadership to Store Meat department teams and assists in the implementation of Meat programs across all 16 locations. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in butcher shop operation and management Extensive knowledge of butchery skills is required A history of meeting financial objectives, company standards, and targets as a team leader Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Able to work independently and within teams A passion for leading and developing others Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during peak food-retail hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, holidays) Proficiency in Google Suite the ability to quickly learn new computer programs Ability to work in-office and travel to locations across Alberta Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development. Role & Responsibilities: Maintain and monitor company-wide Meat programs and procedures Manage the sourcing, purchasing and logistics of meat and seafood products Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential vendors Assist Director, Meat & Seafood on new product initiatives Provide Meat Management teams support to: Achieve weekly, segment, and yearly targets (sales, budget, productivity, etc.) Manage day-to-day operations Resolve inventory and operational issues promptly Acquire and train new Meat Team Members Implement product recall procedures Create and monitor merchandising initiatives including planograms and merchandising programs Regular visitation to store locations to provide assistance and ensure compliance with operational standards & procedures KPIs: Production costs, labour utilization, in-store program results Reports to the Director, Meat & Seafood Position Details: Position Type: Full Time, Permanent Work Environment: In-Person, Stony Plain Operations Office Travel: 40% (company vehicle provided and expenses covered) Salary Range: $55,000-60,000 annually Freson Bros.
