Title: SQL Database Admin Location: Canada -Remote Required: SQL DBA: Primary: SQL admin, Azure SQL or SQL Server on Azure/AWS. Secondary: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release support for database changes. Key responsibilities 10+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in production environments. Strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability (Always On AG). Hands-on experience migrating SQL Server 2016 to newer versions in Always On setups. Proficient in T-SQL scripting, query optimization, indexing, execution plans, replication, clustering, and CDC. Experience with database security, auditing, PAM solutions, BeyondTrust onboarding, and data masking. Manage database monitoring, patching, upgrades, automation, and production support. Knowledge of Windows Server environments and infrastructure coordination. Preferred: Azure/AWS SQL environments, Redgate/SolarWinds/SentryOne monitoring tools, CI/CD, and deployment automation. What you’ll do

The SQL Database Administrator will manage SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery in production environments. They will also handle database monitoring, patching, upgrades, automation, and production support.

Requirements

Candidates should have over 10 years of SQL Server DBA experience, with strong expertise in SQL Server administration and performance tuning. Experience with Azure SQL or SQL Server on Azure/AWS, as well as CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, is also required.
