SQL Database Administrator

Title: SQL Database Admin Location: Canada -Remote Required: SQL DBA: Primary: SQL admin, Azure SQL or SQL Server on Azure/AWS. Secondary: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release support for database changes. Key responsibilities 10+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in production environments. Strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability (Always On AG). Hands-on experience migrating SQL Server 2016 to newer versions in Always On setups. Proficient in T-SQL scripting, query optimization, indexing, execution plans, replication, clustering, and CDC. Experience with database security, auditing, PAM solutions, BeyondTrust onboarding, and data masking. Manage database monitoring, patching, upgrades, automation, and production support. Knowledge of Windows Server environments and infrastructure coordination. Preferred: Azure/AWS SQL environments, Redgate/SolarWinds/SentryOne monitoring tools, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
