SOMMAIRE : Sous supervision générale, le soudeur utilise de l’équipement de soudage manuel et de coupage au chalumeau comme des soudeuses à arc électrique, des soudeuses au gaz et des becs à l’acétylène pour souder des éléments métalliques (plaques planes, horizontales ou verticales, et tuyaux). Le soudeur est responsable de la séquence complète des opérations de coupe et de soudure pour une variété de travaux de réparation et de fabrication. Le soudeur aligne et soude des éléments d’outils, de fils et de pièces métalliques, et autres produits métalliques. TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS Travailler à partir de croquis, d’imprimés, de fiches d’instructions, de dessins préliminaires et d’instructions orales/écrites. Conserver les spécifications de soudage. Préparer et faire fonctionner l’équipement de soudage. Peut utiliser différents types de systèmes de soudage pour différentes tâches. Accomplir d’autres tâches qui lui sont attribuées. FORMATION ET EXPÉRIENCE Exige habituellement un diplôme technique et un (1) à quatre (4) ans d’expérience pertinente ou une combinaison équivalente. CONNAISSANCES, COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES Capacité de lire des plans. Connaissances en chimie et en métallurgie. Compréhension de l’électricité. Notions de base en programmation informatique. Souci du détail.
