Job details

Do you enjoy building ways of working that help an organization grow with clarity and consistency? At Germain Hotels, we are always looking for ways to do better—with simplicity and intention. In this role, you will be at the heart of several initiatives that shape how we develop our people and our organization, including competency development, learning and development, talent management, succession planning, performance management and HR analytics. You will have the opportunity to put your expertise to work across the organization by evolving our practices, creating stronger connections between them, and building approaches that are simple, cohesive and genuinely useful to both our teams and the business. Your mandate? Provide clear direction for these practices and evolve them in line with our business priorities, with one shared objective in mind: helping us grow in a thoughtful, consistent and sustainable way. A role for someone who enjoys thinking about what comes next just as much as building what it takes to get there. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Define the organizational development strategy and translate it into a prioritized and budgeted annual action plan aligned with Germain Hotels’ strategic direction. * Conduct the organizational analyses required to support decision-making while ensuring alignment between business strategy, organizational structure, competencies, talent and organizational development practices. * Oversee learning and development governance, including priorities, standards and budget, while evolving the architecture of learning paths and training programs within our LMS. * Assess existing training content, prioritize updates, and lead the development or evolution of training programs based on strategic priorities and the needs of various functions, in collaboration with the appropriate subject matter experts. * Review and evolve the competency framework by function and level to ensure it meets organizational needs and integrates consistently with talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management and employee development practices. * Structure talent management and succession planning practices. * Contribute to the evolution of the performance management process, implement required improvements, and develop tools that support performance reviews and conversations. * Define and produce HR and organizational performance indicators, analyze trends and recommend appropriate corrective actions. * Regularly present organizational analysis findings, performance results and recommendations to the Executive Committee. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * A university degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development or a related field. * A minimum of 5 years of management experience in organizational development, talent management or a strategic HR function, with hands-on experience designing and implementing organization-wide practices. * Strong expertise in competency development, talent management, succession planning and performance management, along with a solid understanding of learning environments and LMS platforms. * The ability to understand business challenges, take a broader perspective and translate organizational needs into simple, cohesive and practical approaches. * Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to leverage data and performance indicators to identify insights, establish priorities and support decision-making. * The ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate collaboration and move multiple strategic initiatives forward with rigour, sound judgment and pragmatism. * Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners or clients across Canada. WHAT WE OFFER * Passionate about travel? Take advantage of preferred rates when staying at Germain Hotels and explore the country. * A work environment that encourages creativity and autonomy—contribute to the growth of a company that is committed to helping you move forward and recognizes you for who you truly are. * A flexible hybrid work model, including reduced summer hours—enjoy the comfort of home, the energy of the office and more time for what matters to you! * Your health matters to us—access high-quality medical care from the comfort of your home through the Dialogue telemedicine app. Apply now – We can’t wait to meet you!
