Job summary
We are seeking a German-speaking Kindergarten Teacher to join our team full-time beginning December 2026 or January 2027. This position runs Monday through Friday, with shifts between the hours of 7:30 am–5:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. As a multilingual independent school offering instruction in German, English, and French, for this position, fluency in German is required. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a teaching team to deliver Kindergarten programming (Pre-K, JK, and SK) for a group of up to 24 students. We are committed to fostering an inspiring and enriching environment for both our students and staff. Our educators are encouraged to build meaningful relationships with students, recognize individual learning styles, and support each child’s development. We place a strong emphasis on physical activity and interactive language learning as key components of our daily programming. Kindergarten Educator Responsibilities: Develop lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of each student. Introduce interactive classroom activities and encouraged students to express their thoughts, concerns, and questions verbally. Communicate regularly with team members and parents regarding students' progress and behavior. Participate in teacher rotation duties, assisting with student supervision at the beginning and end of the school day. Foster students' creativity by organizing daily arts and crafts activities. Create a welcoming, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment. Supervise students during recess and outdoor playtime. Maintain open communication with parents, listened to their concerns, and responded promptly to their needs. Kindergarten Educator Qualifications: Certification as an Early Childhood Educator. Membership in the Ontario College of ECE preferred. Strong language skills in German and English. French is an asset. Vulnerable Sector Check (required). First Aid Training (required, may be completed during the school year). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to teach within a team structure. Flexible and open minded.
