Job details

The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to): pumping residential and commercial septic and holding tanks, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material. Key Accountabilities * Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting * Follow company policies and procedures as well as various on-site requirements * Provide exceptional service to all clients and professionally represent GFL * Accurately complete numerous and various documents, including pre/post trip inspections, manifests, log books, VCRs, etc., in a legible manner to meet compliance requirements * Maintain detailed and accurate company documentation to accompany work performed Participate in safety programs such as safety meetings, near miss reporting and job hazard * Work independently while managing time and productivity and communicate effectively Knowledge of Reg. 347/558, WMHIS, MTO regulations * Drivers are required to adhere to all Environmental and Health & Safety policies and procedures * Perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation * Participate in after hours/weekend on-call program * Perform other duties assigned Experience, Qualifications & Education * Three (3) years of driver/operator experience is preferred * High school diploma or equivalent * Must possess at minimum, DZ license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR (no demerits) * Must have solid written communication skills in order to complete required paperwork * Must have exceptional verbal communication skills to be able to interact with internal and external customers * Must be eligible to work in Canada GFL Environmental is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals. Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of a DZ license with a clean abstract and CVOR, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Three years of driver/operator experience is preferred, along with the ability to work on-call during weekends and after hours.
