Guidewire Developers – Multiple Long-Term Contract Opportunities We are hiring experienced Guidewire Developers for multiple long-term contract positions across Canada. These opportunities are ideal for independent technology professionals interested in contributing to large-scale Guidewire implementations, upgrades, integrations and transformation programs within the insurance industry. Guidewire Expertise We are looking for developers with strong experience in one or more of the following: PolicyCenter BillingCenter ClaimCenter Experience across multiple Guidewire centres is an asset; however, strong expertise in any one centre will be considered. Guidewire certification is preferred but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, develop and enhance Guidewire applications. Build business rules, workflows, data models, user interfaces and system configurations. Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, web services and Guidewire messaging frameworks. Contribute to Guidewire implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations and production-support initiatives. Review technical requirements and contribute to solution design. Troubleshoot application defects, integration issues and performance concerns. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments and post-production support. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams and client stakeholders. Produce clear technical documentation and follow Guidewire development best practices. Required Qualifications Minimum five years of relevant software development experience, including hands-on Guidewire development. Strong experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter. Proficiency in Guidewire configuration and development using Gosu. Experience with Guidewire integrations, APIs, web services and messaging. Knowledge of Java, SQL, XML, REST and/or SOAP. Experience with relational databases, object-oriented programming and software design principles. Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed project teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with client stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Guidewire certification in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, InsuranceSuite or a related area. Experience across more than one Guidewire centre. Guidewire Cloud or cloud-migration experience. Experience with Guidewire Digital, DataHub, InfoCenter or related products. Strong knowledge of the property and casualty insurance domain. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience. Contract Details Multiple contract positions available. Long-term project engagements. Opportunities may be available across different Guidewire centres and project streams. Work arrangements may vary depending on client and project requirements. Contract extensions may be available based on project needs and performance.
