The Opportunity FireRock Lounge is seeking an experienced Business Leader to oversee one of Whistler's premier cocktail, wine, and lounge destinations. Located within The Westin Resort & Spa, FireRock Lounge is known for its elevated atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, curated wine program, and exceptional hospitality. As Business Leader, you will be responsible for the overall success of the business—driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, developing future leaders, and strengthening FireRock's position as a destination for both hotel guests and the local community. This role extends beyond day-to-day operations. You will work closely with venue leaders to elevate service standards, coach and develop management talent, build strategic partnerships, and create initiatives that drive guest loyalty and business performance. Success in this role comes from balancing commercial acumen with exceptional people leadership. You'll spend less time managing shifts and more time developing leaders, analyzing business performance, strengthening community relationships, and creating sustainable growth opportunities. What You Bring to the Table Proven leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, lounges, hotels, or premium food and beverage operations. Strong business acumen with experience managing revenue, profitability, budgets, and key performance metrics. Demonstrated success developing leaders and building high-performing teams. A passion for elevated hospitality, premium beverage programs, and exceptional guest experiences. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to cultivate community partnerships and strategic business relationships. Experience collaborating with hotel partners, tourism organizations, or community stakeholders is considered a strong asset. Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills. Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, including scheduling, reporting, budgeting, and business planning. Ability to balance strategic priorities while maintaining awareness of daily operations. Serving It Right certification required. Your Days Will Look Like Lead & Develop Your Team: Ensure strong leadership coverage, drive performance through regular one-on-ones and quarterly reviews, and build a high-accountability, high-recognition culture Own the Operating Rhythm: Deliver excellence in daily process execution, lead weekly scorecard and Business Performance Reviews, and own monthly P&L reviews and quarterly planning cycles Deliver the Guest Experience: Oversee the full guest journey—from pre-arrival communication to post-visit follow-up—ensuring every touchpoint reflects The Gibbons Way and drives repeat business Drive Financial Performance: Own revenue, labour, and profit targets; optimize pricing and offerings; and maintain disciplined cost and inventory management Lead Programming & Partnerships: Execute 7-day and 52-week programming strategies, ensure leadership presence across key nights, and actively build community and in-resort relationships Ensure Operational Excellence: Maintain strong systems, scheduling discipline, and inventory controls while continuously identifying opportunities to improve how the business operates Sound like a fit?
