About The Role Reporting to the Lead, Central Lab, the Lab Sample Analyst is responsible for providing accurate coal preparation and assay testing to ensure customer satisfaction and mining performance for our operations. To be successful, we are looking for someone who can work well with a team as well as empower themselves as an individual. Due to the importance of this work in our coal process, accuracy and efficiency are extremely important. You must be able to multi-task, stay organized, prioritize your work, and manage the handling of samples up to 25kg on a regular basis to keep the process moving efficiently. Since you will be engaging multiple partners across our sites, strong communication and interpersonal skills will be vital. You will have the chance to work with partners from many different departments and mine sites, giving you exposure to the different processes involved in our operations. This gives you the opportunity for growth in different streams of our business. Benefits Two Annual Bonus Plans Comprehensive Benefits Plan Retirement Package Health Lifestyle Account In This Role You Will Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Collect and process hourly production samples, plant circuits and customer samples in a safe and efficient manner Analyze coal utilizing specific procedures that incorporate ASTM and ISO standards such as, alkali extraction, TSS, proximate analysis, FSI, screening, magnetite analysis, mini washes as well as plant production analysis Operate a forklift/loader and manual forklift Operate various pieces of lab equipment (pulverizers, crushers, screen shakers) Requirements High school diploma or Technical Diploma Experience working in an industrial setting is an asset Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite®, particularly Excel and Word Salary: $64,000 - $80,000 CAD /year The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. Requirements

Candidates must have a high school or technical diploma and a valid Class 5 Driver's License. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in an industrial setting are preferred.
