BA/Data Analyst Alteryx, SQL, Power BI Reporting Location: Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — Monday/Wednesday in office Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension; FTE conversion possible) Pay Rate: C$50.00–C$55.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Job Summary As an Associate, Client Data & Process Automation, you will be responsible for executing data management and data analysis activities in support of Client Data Strategy and Regulatory initiatives. The objective is to ensure data produced by Capital Markets business and support groups is accurate, complete, and reusable to fulfill all downstream reporting purposes, including but not limited to regulatory trade reporting obligations. The incumbent will help support all business intelligence and data analytics to support BAU and senior management decisions on its operations and data management capabilities. Process automation support to transform existing processes will be executed through this team. The Client Data and Process Automation team supports Capital Markets by providing client and business data, reporting, analytics, and process automation solutions. The team fulfills data requests, develops reports and extracts, manages business intelligence initiatives, and supports operational efficiency through process automation and data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Support both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and project initiatives within Capital Markets Perform data extraction, reporting, and dashboard development Manage client data and support data-related projects Develop process automation solutions to transform existing processes Test database and API connections Collaborate daily with Client Data and Process Automation team members Partner with internal business stakeholders within Capital Markets Work with business requirements and pipeline management teams Engage with technology and data stakeholders Support other internal groups requiring data, reporting, and analytics support Required Skills 3–5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx for data extraction, manipulation, and workflow development Knowledge of Azure Databricks Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, WebFOCUS, etc.) Working knowledge of SQL, including queries, joins, and data analysis Experience supporting data reporting, dashboard creation, and analytics initiatives Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to gather information from multiple data sources and develop solutions Experience working directly with business stakeholders and managing internal client relationships Ability to operate in a business-facing environment rather than a pure development or technology team Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions Highly collaborative team player Self-starter with strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Curious, adaptable, and willing to learn new tools and processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Preferred Skills Exposure to Power Automate and process automation initiatives Python scripting experience for reporting, analytics, or Power BI enhancements Experience with data integration, API connections, and database connectivity testing Capital Markets or Financial Services industry experience Knowledge of client data management, regulatory reporting, AML/KYC, or trade data environments Experience supporting business transformation or process improvement initiatives Required Experience 3–5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund Important Notes Interview process consists of 2 rounds: first with the Director and team (MS Teams), second with the Director and Senior Director (in-person); each session is approximately 1 hour This is a highly business-facing role; candidate soft skills — including stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building — are a top priority for the hiring manager About the Client This client is a large, full-service multinational financial institution operating across banking, wealth management, and capital markets, serving millions of clients in its home market as well as internationally — with significant commercial and investment banking presence in the United States and other global markets.
