Contract Administrator Location: Edmonton, AB Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: C$40.00–C$80.00 / Hour (CAD) Job Summary The City of Edmonton Transmission Reinforcement Project (CETR) will require engagement with multiple contractors and vendors in order to construct new and updated transmission infrastructure. The Project Team requires a Project Contract Administrator with the expertise to establish reliable relationships between EDTI and service proponents, through vetted and audited contracts. The AESO has determined system reinforcements are needed in the Edmonton Planning Region to reliably serve load and mitigate constraints related to the 72 kV transmission system in the City of Edmonton. The CETR Project is focused around the construction of one new substation at Fort Road, improvement of two existing substations (Namao and Clover Bar substations), construction of two new transmission lines (240kV and 72kV), and the salvage of existing 240kV and 72kV transmission lines in the area. Key Responsibilities Ensuring alignment with the Contract Execution and Spending Authority Policy (CESAP) and all applicable trade agreements for contract execution and purchase order and non-competitive procurement signing authority Development of contracts or master service agreements from standard form contracts to fit project needs, dependent on goods or services required Engagement with vendors, consultants or contractors for quotes, estimates or proposals Support in negotiation of claims, variations, changes and disputes with contractors in collaboration with Project Management, Legal Department and others as required Ensure communication of changes to contracts to all key stakeholders Facilitate contract life cycle management from planning to execution, performance and feedback Working with procurement lead, project manager and project engineer to set up and issue Purchase Orders Creating purchase requisitions and overseeing the approval process and timelines Interface with the project team, internal departments and external vendors on matters such as cost, performance, progress assessment, payments, reporting, trends, and change orders Report contract(s) performance on a regular basis Receiving goods in Oracle Required Skills Experience in contract administration, including creating and managing legal contracts and ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations Proficiency with contract life cycle management from planning through execution, performance, and close out Experience with purchase order creation, purchase requisitions, and procurement approval processes Familiarity with Oracle for goods receiving and related procurement functions Ability to interface with cross-functional internal departments and external vendors on cost, performance, progress, payments, reporting, and change orders Experience supporting negotiation of claims, variations, changes, and disputes in collaboration with project management and legal teams Nice-to-Have Experience Canadian Electric Utilities experience, specifically with organizations such as EPCOR, ATCO, AltaLink, BC Hydro, SaskPower, Manitoba Hydro, or Hydro One About GTT GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
