Position: AZ Transit Driver - Arnprior Depot Schedule Sunday to Wednesday 5:30pm to 7:30pm start time Position Summary Presents a positive image to Gordon Food Service (GFS) while transporting loaded and empty trailers from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit in a timely manner. Presents a positive image when delivering to our volume customers. Operates GFS equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail, safe work habits, and working knowledge of refrigerated van. What We Offer Starting hourly rate of $31.11 Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EFAP Benefits after 30 days of employment FULL flex benefits program Company matching RRSP Family culture Advancement opportunities Profit Sharing 125 year, family owned and operated company history Family culture and advancement opportunities Skills, Knowledge And Ability Required Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract Previous professional driving experience is preferred Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions Essential Functions Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products. Transports loaded and empty trailers from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit in a timely manner. Collaborates with the Supervisor and Leadership and/or dispatcher for work assignments, changes in assignments and on-time delivery performance. Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in timely manner. Complete daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors. Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns. Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manage paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc Develop and maintain a good working relationship with other GFS employees. Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas. Attending department meetings Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Valid Class 1 license is a MUST A minimum of 2 years of AZ driving experience is required. Requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment. Must be goal oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude. Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of product. Depot Specific Requirements Please note that in addition to the above job description the following criteria are applicable for all of our depot specific positions: Flexibility to cover other nearby Depots as required. Flexibility to cover nearby depots for both deliveries, and/or night transit routes for vacation or sick coverage as needed Ability to work weekends is required Availability to work a full 10-13 hour shift is required. Requirements

A valid AZ or Class 1 driver's license and at least two years of AZ driving experience are required; a clean commercial driving abstract and prior professional driving experience are preferred. Candidates must be punctual, detail-oriented, able to communicate effectively, work independently and as part of a team, meet the physical demands of the role, and be flexible to cover nearby depots, weekends, and full 10–13-hour shifts.
