Role Description The Advanced Foot Care Specialist – RPN is a part‑time, remote role responsible for delivering professional foot care services to senior clients within the community. Day‑to‑day tasks include assessing foot health, performing advanced nursing foot care procedures, documenting care plans, and providing follow‑up recommendations in line with best practices and regulatory standards. The specialist collaborates with seniors, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe, individualized care and may offer education on foot hygiene, risk prevention, and ongoing maintenance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, adhering to infection control protocols, and communicating updates to Goshenite Seniors Services consultants to support overall transition planning. While the role is remote, it may involve coordinating and scheduling in‑person visits or working with local partners to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to build trust with seniors and families and provide compassionate, client‑centered care. Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to explain care plans, educate clients, and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Candidates should possess knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine relevant to senior foot health, including risk assessment, wound care principles, and safe clinical decision‑making. Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body, with recognized training in Advanced Foot Care. Experience providing foot care or geriatric nursing in community, clinic, or long‑term care settings, with familiarity in working with older adults and their families. Strong assessment, documentation, and infection control skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, flexible environment. Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally for client visits, if required, along with basic proficiency in digital tools for charting and communication.
