Job summary
Anglophone East School District is now accepting applications for a permanent full-time Tradesworker I (Industrial Mechanic) Description: This is skilled work at the journeyperson level in one or more building trades. Work involves the maintenance and repair of buildings, machinery and equipment. The employee must possess a journeyperson certificate in one or more trades and is required to work at the journeyperson level. Work is not limited to the trade in which the employee possesses a journeyperson certificate. The employee may maintain records of stock of building materials and supplies and requisition materials and supplies for repair and maintenance projects. Work assignments are received verbally or by written instructions which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams. Performance is reviewed by a designated superior through discussions, observations, inspections, reports and overall results achieved for conformance with established standards. Union: Cupe 1253 Other related responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Qualifications: Graduation from high school or GED and considerable diversified experience at the journeyperson level in the Industrial Mechanic trade. Ability to operate a computer and appropriate software programs is required. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate details in verbal and written formats. Necessary Special Requirement: A journeyperson certificate in the Industrial Mechanic trade as issued by the New Brunswick Department of Training and Development. Please include a copy of your red seal certificate with your application. Applicants must have a valid driver's license. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal Record Check. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 40 hours per week. PLEASE INCLUDE COPIES OF YOUR DIPLOMA, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
