Leadership Learning Consultant Shape the Future of Leadership Development Are you a leadership expert who can confidently advise senior executives, architect impactful learning solutions, and translate business challenges into transformative leadership experiences? GP Strategies is seeking a Leadership Learning Consultant based in Canada, to join a lean, high-performing Leadership Development & Inclusion team. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded leadership specialist who thrives at the intersection of consulting, solution design, leadership expertise, and instructional design. This is not a traditional instructional design role. Approximately 75% of your time will focus on strategic solutioning, leadership advisory, client engagement, and commercial shaping, while 25% will be spent creating and refining premium leadership learning experiences and content. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, design innovative leadership solutions, lead high-profile proposals and RFPs, and help shape the future of our leadership portfolio. You'll: ✅ Advise senior HR, Talent, and Business Leaders as a credible thought partner ✅ Shape leadership strategies that solve complex business challenges ✅ Lead solution architecture for major proposal and client opportunities ✅ Influence the direction of our leadership IP and product portfolio ✅ Design flagship leadership experiences that set the standard for quality ✅ Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance leadership development at scale What You'll Do Strategic Solutioning & Leadership Advisory (Approx. 75%) As the leadership subject matter expert, you will: Lead solution strategy for high-value proposals, RFPs, and client opportunities Architect leadership journeys, capability pathways, and enterprise leadership solutions Conduct discovery sessions with senior client stakeholders to diagnose needs and shape outcomes Apply contemporary leadership research, models, and best practices to real business challenges Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Talent, Learning, and Business leaders Shape the future direction of our leadership product portfolio and intellectual property Evaluate AI-enabled and technology-enhanced solutions that strengthen leadership outcomes Develop thought leadership, frameworks, and market insights that elevate GP Strategies' position in the market Instructional Design & Content Development (Approx. 25%) You'll remain hands-on where it matters most: Design executive-level leadership programs, flagship products, and high-profile client assets Create content across multiple modalities including facilitator guides, participant materials, and digital learning experiences Establish and maintain the quality standard for leadership content delivered to clients Leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered tools to accelerate content development and refinement Develop reusable templates, frameworks, and modular assets that increase efficiency and scale Cross-Functional Leadership You'll lead through influence and collaboration by: Directing complex projects involving Digital, Graphics, Project Management, and Account Management teams Translating client requirements into clear design and delivery strategies Managing risks, priorities, and dependencies across large learning initiatives Serving as the client's advocate throughout the design and development process Executive Presence & Expert Delivery You will: Represent GP Strategies as the lead leadership expert in executive briefings, senior stakeholder meetings, and strategic pitches Facilitate Train-the-Trainer (TTT) experiences for complex leadership programs Build trusted advisor relationships that drive repeat and expanded business opportunities What We're Looking For Leadership Consulting Expertise You bring: Significant experience in leadership development consulting A proven track record advising senior stakeholders and influencing business leaders Deep knowledge of contemporary leadership frameworks, models, and leadership research The ability to translate theory into practical business solutions Strong Instructional Design Foundation You have: Extensive experience designing leadership learning experiences Strong content creation skills across multiple learning modalities Demonstrated expertise developing executive and management-level programs Experience creating high-quality learning content personally, not just reviewing others' work Commercial Solutioning & Client Partnership You can: Lead solution architecture for complex proposals and RFPs Estimate effort, define scope, and articulate value propositions Balance learning impact with commercial outcomes Build trusted relationships that lead to long-term client partnerships AI & Technology Fluency You are: Comfortable using Copilot and AI tools as part of your daily workflow Skilled at leveraging AI for research, content development, ideation, and quality assurance Curious about emerging technologies and how they can enhance leadership development We're looking for someone who is: AI-First: Uses AI and existing intellectual property before creating from scratch. What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months) By the end of your first year, you will have: Strategic Impact Led solution strategy for 6+ major proposals or RFPs Independently designed 4+ end-to-end leadership journeys Served as lead SME on multiple client pitches and proposal calls Contributed to at least one significant business win Leadership Expertise Established yourself as the go-to leadership design authority for clients Produced client-facing thought leadership used in proposals and account growth initiatives Portfolio Growth Influenced the direction of our leadership product roadmap Led development of at least one flagship leadership solution or major portfolio enhancement Design Excellence Personally designed a high-profile leadership program or asset Maintained exceptional quality standards with no major client-facing quality issues Client Relationships Built trusted advisor relationships within key client accounts Generated repeat or expanded opportunities through those relationships Operational Improvement Demonstrated measurable efficiency gains through AI-enabled workflows Reduced rework and accelerated project delivery through stronger solutioning and quality practices Ready to Lead What's Next? Lead solution strategy for high-stakes pitches and RFPs, owning the learning architecture and win themes. Architect leadership journeys and capability pathways, aligning client competencies with our IP. Conduct discovery sessions with senior clients, diagnosing needs and shaping outcomes. Set the strategic direction for our off-the-shelf portfolio, identifying market gaps and designing flagship products. Provide expert advice on partner technologies and AI-enabled solutions. Design and write high-quality leadership and inclusion content, ensuring instructional integrity. Review and quality-assure client deliverables, maintaining our high standards. Direct complex, multi-workstream builds, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Present as the lead SME in senior stakeholder sessions and client pitches, building trusted relationships. Qualifications Extensive experience in leadership development consulting, with a proven track record of shaping and winning leadership solutions. Deep knowledge of leadership models, frameworks, and research, and the ability to apply them in client contexts. Strong instructional design background, with experience in multi-modality learning design and leadership content writing. Proven ability to lead solution architecture for RFPs and proposals, including effort estimation and value articulation. Confident daily user of AI tools like Copilot and Content AIQ for drafting, research, and QA. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools and comfortable with fast iteration cycles. Ability to adapt existing IP and create new solutions, considering margin, speed, and scalability. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on autonomous ownership and precision. Experience in building and maintaining trusted-advisor relationships with key clients. Strong operational excellence, with a track record of improving solutioning workflows and reducing cycle time.
