Role Description: The Treatment Coordinator supports patients through their surgical care journey. Responsibilities include reviewing proposed treatment plans ensuring patients understand clinical recommendations and next steps discussing financial arrangements & confirming insurance benefits scheduling procedures helping patients prepare for procedures and navigate the recovery phase maintaining accurate patient records communicating with the clinical team about treatment timelines following up with patients to support case acceptance and continuity of care ensuring the necessary surgical materials are available and organized for procedures answering patient inquiries promptly and politely in person and by email/phone contributing to a smooth, organized front-office workflow Qualifications Understanding of dental surgery procedures(gum/bone grafting, implant placement, debridement, etc,);, treatment timelines, and post-op care requirements. Knowledge of insurance processes, including verification of benefits, pre-authorizations, claims coordination; confidence in discussing financial responsibilities with patients. Proven customer service capabilities, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a patient-focused approach in a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with dentists, specialists, and support staff. Prior experience in a dental office, preferably in oral surgery or periodontics. Current LDA (CDA) status with BCCOHP is an asset. Proficiency with practice management software (ClearDent), basic office computer skills, and capturing digital diagnostic records. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and appointments in a fast-paced environment.
