Reporting to the Project Controls Manager/Site Manager, the incumbent supports project planning, cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting, change management, and project reporting for a Pipeline Maintenance Contract at Imperial Oil Kearl Lake site. The role works closely with Project Managers, Planners, Site Teams, and Commercial teams to provide accurate project performance information and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. This role is based at our Kearl Lake side, on a 14/14 shift with flights and accommodations provided. Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site Maintain project control structures, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), work packages, control accounts, and cost breakdown structures. Establish and manage project cost control baselines and budgets. Monitor project costs, installed quantities, progress, and earned value metrics. Prepare and analyze cost reports, forecasts, variances, EACs, ETCs, KPIs, and performance indices. Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and other project controls tools. Manage critical path schedules and identify schedule risks or delays. Support change management, claims analysis, and schedule impact assessments. Coordinate with quantity surveyors, field teams, and project leadership to validate progress and performance reporting. Assist project teams in implementing standard project controls processes and procedures. Contribute to dashboard creation, project reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Complete field walkdowns and verifications for estimating and billing. Complete time studies for the creation of new unit rates for HVAC and Pipeline scopes. The Right Tools for the Job Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 3 to 7 years of maintenance, construction, or project controls experience in disciplines such as cost control, scheduling, planning, forecasting, and document management. Experience in pipeline is preferred. Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
