Job summary
Location of Work: Chisasibi Status: Permanent Full-time Closing Date: August 26, 2026 Core Functions The Office Agent is responsible for providing administrative support to the Miyuuhpichinaausuwin Apatisiiwin department. More specifically, the incumbent assists in preparing correspondences and meeting minutes, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, maintaining files, arranging meetings and amenities, screening calls and scheduling appointments. Functional Responsibilities: Manage the receiving and treatment of invoices and coordinate with employees, suppliers and the Finance department. Screen, review and redirect incoming and outgoing correspondence and paperwork in order to provide prompt and appropriate action with respect to inquiries, concerns and issue. Answer and coordinate responses to all administrative inquiries received at the office. Compile information and assist with the preparation of kits as required. Set up conference calls, make conference room reservations and record meeting minutes. Provide help in reception duties by screening, directing and answering calls in a prompt, courteous and professional manner; greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or waiting area Provide administrative support services by preparing, inputting, editing and proofreading correspondence, presentations etc. Arrange travel schedules and make reservations Receive, sort and distribute mail and faxes to appropriate staff members. Administrative Responsibilities: Maintain photocopy equipment, control photocopy supplies inventory and photocopy documents. Ensure adequate inventory of office supplies are available. Maintain proper file management of documents to ensure an efficient retrieval of information. Other Responsibilities: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma. Experience: One to three years of relevant work experience. Language: Fluency in verbal Cree Fluency in English. Fluency in French is an asset. Knowledge and Abilities: Customer-focused and service-oriented. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to a changing environment. Organizational skills. Judgment and ability to problem-solve. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Additional Requirements: Typical office setting where there are no unusual physical demands. The Cree Nation Government may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the aforementioned requirements if a suitable candidate who is a JBNQA beneficiary accepts to follow a training plan determined by the Cree Nation Government as a condition of employment.
