Role Description The Independent Financial Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Québec, QC. In this position, the advisor will meet with clients to assess their financial goals, analyze current financial situations, and recommend tailored insurance and financial protection strategies, including life, illness and disability, mortgage, and business insurance solutions. The advisor will develop and present financial plans, explain product options, and educate clients on concepts related to long-term financial security and legacy planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and building a client base, maintaining ongoing relationships, conducting regular reviews of client plans, and staying current on industry trends and regulatory requirements. The advisor will also collaborate with Greatway’s support teams, participate in training and development programs, and uphold high ethical standards and compliance with governing regulations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to help clients build comprehensive, long-term strategies. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance and Investments to analyze client situations and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Candidates should possess experience in Financial Advisory, with the ability to provide needs-based guidance and clear recommendations. Relevant life insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain licensing) in Québec; prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner. Strong client relationship-building skills, integrity, and a commitment to compliant, client-focused advice. Motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and grow a client portfolio. Fluency in English and French is highly beneficial; familiarity with the Canadian and Québec financial and regulatory environment is an advantage.
