Benefits In-house training Benefit packages Opportunities for advancement within the company Use of company vehicle Job Description The Heavy Tractor Snow Removal Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tractors and other heavy equipment during snow and ice removal operations. This position performs snow clearing and winter maintenance on commercial, residential, municipal, and public-space properties while maintaining a high standard of safety, efficiency, and customer service. Responsibilities * Operate tractors equipped with snow blades, buckets, blowers, spreaders, and other snow-removal attachments. * Safely remove snow from parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, pathways, entrances, and other designated areas. * Apply sand, salt, and other ice-control materials as directed. * Conduct pre-use inspections and report equipment defects, damage, or maintenance requirements. * Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and GML safety procedures. * Maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, structures, curbs, landscaping, and other potential hazards. * Complete snow routes efficiently and within required service timelines. * Assist with loading, hauling, snow relocation, and snow stacking as required. * Communicate with supervisors regarding changing weather conditions, site conditions, hazards, and operational concerns. * Complete required daily logs, equipment inspections, and other winter-operation documentation. * Maintain equipment cleanliness and report damage immediately. * Work extended, overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts as required during snow events. * Assist with general winter maintenance duties when not operating heavy equipment. Requirements: * Previous experience operating tractors or heavy equipment, preferably in snow removal. * Valid driver's licence appropriate for the equipment/vehicle being operated. * Strong understanding of equipment safety and safe operating practices. * Ability to work independently and as part of a winter operations team. * Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in cold, snow, ice, and changing weather conditions. * Strong situational awareness and attention to detail. * Reliable attendance and ability to respond to snow events on short notice. * Previous commercial snow removal experience is an asset. Job Type: Fixed term contract Contract length: 6 months, however could lead to full year round employment. Requirements

Applicants need previous tractor or heavy equipment operating experience, a valid driver's licence appropriate for the equipment or vehicle, and a strong understanding of safe operating practices. They must be reliable, attentive, able to work independently and with a team, and able to work outdoors in winter conditions and respond to snow events on short notice; commercial snow removal experience is an asset.
