Job Summary Provide daily care and maintenance for livestock to support healthy herd and flock operations. Perform routine husbandry tasks, facility upkeep, and basic monitoring under direction. Number of Positions 2 Main Duties Feed and water animals according to established schedules and rationing instructions. Clean and maintain barns, pens, stalls, and other animal housing to ensure sanitary conditions. Move, restrain, and handle animals safely during routine procedures and facility transfers. Monitor animal health and behaviour, reporting signs of illness, injury, or distress to supervisors. Assist with basic breeding, birthing, and neonatal care activities under supervision. Operate and perform routine maintenance on farm equipment and tools used in livestock care; maintain daily records. Requirements Previous experience working with livestock or in an agricultural setting preferred. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing seasonal duties. Basic literacy and numeracy to complete logs, follow written instructions, and record feed and health information. Willingness to follow biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace health and safety procedures. Availability for flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by farm operations.
