Position Overview Security Officers play an integral role in maintaining overall safety and protection of Grey Eagle Resort and Casino (GERC) in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures and Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC) terms and conditions pertaining to the operation of the casino and resort. Casino security guards ensure the safety of casino and resort patrons and employees while protecting their employer’s property. Duties include removing disruptive individuals from the casino, reporting suspicious activity, escorting casino funds to and from the vault and assisting police officers when a disturbance is reported. Casino security officers may also answer customer inquiries and provide directions around the casino. Education And Experience  High School Diploma or Equivalent to  Anti-Money Laundering, Pro Serve, Pro-Tect and Deal Us In training  First Aid training  Must be able to pass a criminal record check  Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid AGLC license Knowledge, Skills And Abilities  Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing to report incidents and daily departmental activities  Strong team player who can also work independently when required  Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and can lift up to 20lbs  Work in a fast-paced, high-volume, multitasking setting  High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks  Ability to respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations  Must be comfortable working in a smoking environment and around various scents or perfumes  A professional and well-maintained appearance is required at all times  Adherence to all GERC policies and procedures is mandatory  Willing to learn new skills and participate in training as needed  Must be available for shift work and able to stand or sit for extended periods We thank all applicants, however, only those considered for an interview will be contacted.No phone calls please. Requirements
