GrizzlyTrek is hiring an Excavator Operator for our valued client's mine site in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. The rate is $600 per day on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation of 12 hour days, with overtime available. Pay $600 per day Position Type Rotational Location Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia (mine site) Schedule 7 days on, 7 days off Hours 12 hour days Overtime Available Equipment Excavator The Site Mine site earthmoving puts the excavator at the center of the work: loading haul trucks, digging, cleaning up and shaping ground to plan. You work alongside haul trucks, dozers, other equipment and ground crews, so awareness of the people and iron around you is part of the job every shift. What You'll Do Operate an excavator on mine site earthmoving work Load haul trucks and move, place and shape material to plan Dig, trench, backfill and clean up to grade and site direction Complete pre-use inspections, walkarounds and greasing before the machine moves Communicate clearly by radio with supervisors, operators and ground crews Work safely around haul trucks, other equipment and people on foot Take part in hazard assessments, toolbox talks and safety meetings What You Bring Verifiable seat time running an excavator Earthmoving experience: loading trucks, digging and working to grade Able to work safely around haul trucks and ground crews Current safety training tickets Able to work a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation of 12 hour days Nice to Have Mine site experience GPS machine control experience Time in a second seat, such as dozer or rock truck Work Environment Outdoor work in all weather, including heat, cold, wind and dust 12 hour days, with long periods seated in the machine and climbing on and off equipment Noise and vibration from heavy equipment, with haul trucks and ground crews working nearby Why Operators Take This Job $600 a day is posted up front, so you know the number before you apply. The rotation is 7 days on and 7 days off, which gives you a full week at home every cycle, and overtime is available on top. Pay is a gross day rate before deductions.
