This is a posting for an existing job vacancy Are you an experienced kitchen professional who enjoys taking the lead and keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Shift Leader with strong leadership skills to oversee our kitchen team during busy shifts. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Lead and support the kitchen team during your shift. * Keep the kitchen organized and ensure smooth, efficient service. * Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards are consistently met. * Delegate tasks and manage the team’s workflow. * Maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. * Train, coach, and support new and existing team members. * Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs. * Handle day-to-day shift issues and communicate effectively with management. * Complete opening and closing duties as required. * Lead by example and create a positive, respectful team environment. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a kitchen or restaurant environment. * Previous kitchen or food-service experience. * Basic Food Handler's Certificate * First Aid Training is beneficial * Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to stay calm, focused, and organized in a fast-paced kitchen. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety. * Comfortable using everyday technology, including computers, tablets, POS systems, email, scheduling systems, and other digital tools. * Food Handler certification is an asset. * Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * A positive attitude and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
