Job Summary: The Finance team is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst responsible for assisting with the month-end and year-end close. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and have a strong desire to learn, be curious and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor. Main Responsibilities: Manage the month-end closing process, including inter-company balances and analysis of variances; Maintain general ledger accounts by posting adjusting entries for ESOP, NCIB, RSU and DSU equity accounts as well as reconciling and posting IFRS 16 accounts; Assisting with analysis and reconciliation of payroll liabilities, prepaids, and fixed assets accounts; Record forward contracts and MTM on forward contracts; Work with the external auditors to ensure all requests are addressed on a timely basis to complete their audit; Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies, providing guidance to other personnel; Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures; Assist in the testing of the weekly payment run; Ensure the monthly internal controls for your allocated sections are documented and uploaded to Workiva; Participate in the improvement & implementation of process improvement projects for accounting processes and internal control procedures; Various ad hoc assignments. Qualifications: University degree in Accounting; CPA professional designation; Minimum 5 years of experience; Adaptable and flexible in a changing environment; Organized and detailed-oriented, able to set priorities, develop work schedules, and monitor progress towards goals; Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations; Strong team player; Knowledge and experience with Great Plains, an asset; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Knowledge and experience of IFRS standards, an asset.
