Our team develops MES solutions for manufacturers looking to modernize operations through real-time production data, advanced analytics, and integrated automation systems. You will play a key role in designing MES architectures that connect shop-floor automation with manufacturing data systems to deliver actionable insights for production teams. In this role you will: · Design and implement MES solutions including OEE, downtime tracking, production traceability, work order execution, and performance analytics · Integrate production systems with MES platforms and enterprise systems (ERP) using technologies such as OPC UA, MQTT, and REST APIs · Deploy tools and strategies for collecting and analyzing production data · Develop operator interfaces and dashboards for key statistics and reports · Implement data-driven process and quality monitoring using machine learning techniques · Support commissioning at international customer sites (10-15% travel) Ideal Candidates: The ideal candidate enjoys solving manufacturing problems using automation and data analysis. They have an attention to detail, believe in continuous improvement and enjoy variety in their work. They are adaptable and comfortable working across software development, system configuration and commissioning. Experience in the following areas is highly valued: · MES systems design · User interface design · Designing reports and analytical applications · Field support and customer engagement Software and Programming: · Ignition by Inductive Automation · Developing and maintaining databases · MES solutions using custom architecture · Programming and scripting experience (Python, Java, HTML, SQL) · Previous IIoT experience Industrial Systems: · Ethernet networking · Communication protocols including OPC UA and MQTT · Server and computer hardware configuration · Ability to navigate PLC programs (Rockwell / Siemens) · Exposure to FactoryTalk, iFix and/or Aveva SCADA systems Qualifications · 3–5+ years of hands-on experience implementing MES or manufacturing data systems in an industrial environment · Ignition Certification · OEE certification considered an asset · Related college or university degree Gypsum Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and we would like to thank all applicants for their interest.
