Job Description To provide quality patient care to paediatric patients and their families. Qualifications Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario BCLS required at time of hire Minimum 2-5 years recent Paediatric experience in an acute setting (e.g. Inpatient unit or Emergency Dept.) required PALS certificate an asset NRP certification required within 6 months of hire Related courses in paediatric nursing preferred Venipuncture and I.V. therapy skills Demonstrated ability to work with families Breastfeeding certificate required an asset Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize. Good team player. Satisfactory employment and attendance record. The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation Additional Information Hours: Various rotating 12 hour days and night shifts - 0730 - 1930 , 1930-0730 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.) Requirements
Requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and 2-5 years of recent paediatric experience in an acute setting. Must hold BCLS certification and obtain NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
