Job summary

DUTIES - Assembles and/or fabricates various types of transformers of a more complex nature, according to detailed instructions including: landing coils on assembled core, insulate and stack laminations into the coil, install or assemble mounting brackets, core building, and grinding and preparing of yoke pads - Performs all assembly operations on single and three phase transformers, up to and including five legged laminations prior to stacking mounting operations - Must be able to repeat these assemblies with little supervision - Responsible for the quality of the work assigned QUALIFICATI…

DUTIES - Assembles and/or fabricates various types of transformers of a more complex nature, according to detailed instructions including: landing coils on assembled core, insulate and stack laminations into the coil, install or assemble mounting brackets, core building, and grinding and preparing of yoke pads - Performs all assembly operations on single and three phase transformers, up to and including five legged laminations prior to stacking mounting operations - Must be able to repeat these assemblies with little supervision - Responsible for the quality of the work assigned QUALIFICATIONS - Must have previous experience welding - Must have good knowledge of terms, definitions, methods and techniques used in the manufacturing of transformers - Must have some knowledge of the mechanical and electrical properties of copper, steel and insulations used in the manufacturing of transformers Full-time Hourly Starting Rate - $28.22 Shift and Premium Pay Available: $1.00/hr. – Afternoon shift premium $2.50/hr. – Dedicated trainer premium $3.00/hr. – Shift advisor premium Full range - $28.22 - $32.07– as per the collective agreement
