We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead and support quality and inspection activities within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication processes, ISO-based Quality Management Systems (QMS), and proven experience supervising shop-floor personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring product conformity, maintaining compliance with internal and customer requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of quality inspectors to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Ensure all products meet engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements throughout all production stages. Implement, maintain, and improve QMS procedures in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements. Review and approve inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions. Manage and enforce deviation and waiver processes for any departures from approved design specifications. Collaborate with production, planning, and logistics teams to resolve quality issues and lead root cause analysis activities. Train and mentor inspection staff and support production teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Support internal audits and participate in external audits, including supplier audits, as required. Monitor key quality performance metrics and provide regular reporting and feedback. Ensure proper calibration control and maintenance of inspection and measurement equipment. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the shop floor. Required Technical Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with sheet metal fabrication processes. Previous experience working within an ISO-certified Quality Management System. Demonstrated experience supervising or leading shop-floor personnel. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T. Experience managing non-conformances, deviations, and corrective action processes. Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Soft Skills & Core Competencies Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels. High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while managing multiple priorities. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Proficiency with MS Office and quality documentation systems. Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have) Post-secondary education in Engineering, Quality, or a related field. Quality certifications such as ASQ-CQE or ASQ-CQI. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience. Work Environment Manufacturing and shop-floor-based environment. Hands-on involvement with production processes and inspection activities.
