Yes, this is an existing open position. Compensation: CAD $ 22/Hr. Overview A casino surveillance operator is responsible for monitoring casino activities through CCTV systems to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and assets. They observe gaming areas to detect suspicious behavior, policy violations, or potentially fraudulent activities. The role involves documenting incidents and reporting findings to management or security teams. Operators must remain highly attentive and maintain confidentiality while adhering to strict regulatory standards. They also collaborate with security and compliance teams to support a safe and controlled casino environment. Responsibilities Responsible for providing routine surveillance of the gaming floor identifying potential problems, such as poor game protection, suspicious individuals, and acting as a support unit to other departments in relation to the protection of company assets. Able to pay attention to detail and sound observational skills are critical as you are conducting reviews, writing and completing reports and logs that could be used as evidence in legal matters that have resulted from criminal charges against patrons or employees. Works under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Always maintains an awareness of the gaming operation. Other duties as assigned. Lives the Brand. Qualifications EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) A secondary school diploma, with preference to graduates with a post-secondary education in Law and Security. A minimum of one (1) or more years of experience in a Security related field or gaming related positions (Cage, Slot, Table Games or Audit). Knowledge of computer applications. Casino Surveillance or related surveillance experience an asset The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.): Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, Provincial, and Gaming Commission. Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred. Must be Nineteen (19) years of age. Must be able to work on holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts. Physical Demands Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environmental characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area.
