Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services is a progressive, forward thinking service providing emergency services to the entire County with fully staffed bases located in the urban centres as well as rural posts. HQPS provides many unique opportunities to enrich the professional development of our paramedics such inclusion on the Emergency Response Team, the Difficult Access Response Team, appointment to Team Lead positions and the provision of on-site emergency services at community events such as our new Belleville Senators Hockey Team home games. Qualifications: * Candidate will be required to successfully complete GoMedic Training * Full compliance with the qualification requirements of the Ambulance Act. * Graduated from a college, hospital-based or other recognized program in emergency medical technology and emergency health care with an Advanced Care Paramedic Certificate. * Successful completion of the Ontario Ministry of Health Advanced Care Certification Exam * Experience in an emergency medical service as an Advanced Care Paramedic is preferred * Successful completion of a pre-placement physical agility evaluation. * Good interpersonal skills and ability to work efficiently as part of a professional team. * Ability to provide effective and sensitive care to patients. * Class “F” Driver’s License. * Willingness to participate in service enhancements. * Ability to work all shifts. * Willing to participate in field placements of paramedic students. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Must hold an Advanced Care Paramedic Certificate and have successfully completed the Ontario Ministry of Health Advanced Care Certification Exam. A Class F driver's license and successful completion of a physical agility evaluation are required.
