Bookkeeper – Law Firm - North York, ON - (Office Based Role - Flexible Working Hours) Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 + annual bonus We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our clients Toronto based legal firm. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the firm’s financial records, ensuring compliance with legal accounting requirements, and supporting a high-volume real estate practice. This position is ideal for a professional with strong legal bookkeeping experience, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of law firm accounting systems and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Perform daily trust and general account reconciliations in accordance with Law Society guidelines Process real estate transactions, including high-volume trust receipts and disbursements Manage client trust accounts and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements Prepare and submit filings required by LawPRO Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Generate financial reports and summaries using PCLaw and MS Excel Liaise with lawyers, staff, and external accountants as required Support preparation of year-end financial statements and documentation for accountants Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience within a law firm environment (required) Extensive hands-on experience with PCLaw and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) Experience with legal trust accounting procedures and reconciliation processes Familiarity with year-end financial statement preparation for external accountants (preferred) Skills & Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively AI may me used in the screening of this process - this role is for an existing position.
